Stone is prong set is designed to lay flat on the nose. This is a medium stone for a nose ring. Gauge is the thickness of the post. Gauges available: 22 gauge-thinnest gauge, thickness of a regular earring 20 gauge-slightly thicker than 22 gauge 18 gauge-thicker than 20 gauge. The gauge most piercers use (but not all) Straight part of stem available in 1/4" (6mm-average) or 5/16" (8mm-long). Length is measured between bottom of top ball and beginning of curve.
