Good news for working stiffs with a penchant for body art. Little Rock-based KTHV’s article on Tattoos & Piercings in the Workplace finds that as piercings and tattoos become more and more socially acceptable, “many companies aren’t letting art get in the way of hiring the best qualified candidate.” It seems that scoring a killer job no longer necessarily requires hiding your tats or putting spacers in your piercings from 9-5. Indeed, “in a recent poll of three dozen fortune 500 U.S. Companies, it showed invariably they have softened their attitudes to body ink and studded skin.” Finally, open minds prevail in the workplace!
